Interview with Tommy

JM: How long was your sentencing for?
Tommy: 35 days in jail (time served) and 8 months 29 days probation.

JM: Did you spend time in a holding cell after your sentencing? If so, what was that like? If you didn't where did they they take you instead?
Tommy: If you are remanded into custody at the court house they take you to the holding area in the court house to await transportation to the jail. It is a cage made out of chain-link fence inside an un-air condition room without a working toilet and several benches. The holding cell you are placed in at the actual jail is around 20x8, has a working toilet, a bank of four phones, and one long bench. You are usually in there with 15-30 other people.
