Visitor Policy

Interview with Victor

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Victor: Visitation was offered once a week with the exclusion of holidays and the days you went depended on the block you stayed in.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Victor: I'd say it wasn't because there, there was absolutely no chance of your visitors giving you any contraband. Visitation was held through a thick glass.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Victor: The visiting environment was either dismal or exciting, depending on how long you'd been in the jail and how much time you were facing. For me it was o.k. I didn't like the fact that my family was being dangled in front of me like candy just on the other side of a very thick glass. The visiting room was a tease to say the least but we all looked forward to it.
