JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Rhea: in population there was regular access
JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls?
Rhea: there was a free one minute phone call to call
someone for the first time other than that it
costs $7 a phone call and that had to be prepaid
by the person you were calling
JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Rhea: no the person you were calling had to prepay
phone calls
JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Rhea: im sure that calls were recorded
