Clothing

Interview with Cami, Tombstone, Strawberry, Tonya, Jay, Fred, Alice and Patrick

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Cami: Short sleeve shirts and pants.
Tombstone: Prison smocks,with stripes
Strawberry: green striped smock and pants with a crappy bra granny panties and flip flops
Tonya: Jumpers
Jay: In the county you could wear your sock and under shirt and boxers but the socks and shirts had to be white after you get sent to prison they take what ever you got on and give you everything new and white
Fred: The only clothes you were allowed were the ones you had on when you came to jail
Alice: only socks and underwear were allowed to be brought and worn into the county jail
Patrick: shoes, socks underwear. that is it, they give eveyone Organge JUmp suits and change them out about once a week.

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Cami: Yeah, it was a blue short sleeve shirt and blue matching pants.
Tombstone: A top & pants ,with cheap shoes,,would swap them out twice weekly
Strawberry: welp...just what i just said
Tonya: Orange
Jay: Socks all white under shirt all white shoes that look like converse all white white pants that said (adoc) on the leg and a button down white shirt that said ( adoc) on the back of it oh yea boxers all white
Fred: It was blue and white stripped. The shirt had a pocket on the front and had jcj on the back of it and the pants had jcj down the right leg
Alice: two tops that were green and white stripes and two bottoms of they had our size and a long sleeved electric blue shirt to wear under bc it was so cold. most of them were half shirts or had holes in them. none were new
Patrick: organge jump suit, everyone had the same thing, they are old and worn out, they wash them about once a week. I cannot remember. thanks

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Cami: Yeah, the really clean white shirts that would go under the blue shirt.
Tombstone: Unknown
Strawberry: i dont know
Tonya: Don't know
Jay: yea the white tshirts the socks and boxers people try to buy them from people all the time
Fred: No every inmates piece of clothing was the same as all the other inmates
Alice: no there were no items of clothing in high demand that I wam aware of
Patrick: no, just try and get a new jumpsuit that is in better shape

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Cami: Only the undergarments.
Tombstone: Yes the women`s were dark colored smocks
Strawberry: just the under garmets and colors i think
Tonya: Don't know
Jay: no women in prison wears the same thing as far as I know
Fred: The clothing was the same but the colors was different
Alice: the only difference is that the men that were trustees wore black and white striped uniforms
Patrick: no, they also had jumpsuit in organge
