Visitor Policy

Interview with Todd and Antwon

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Todd: once a week you had visitation and you were in these little booths with glass between you and the visitor and you had to talk to them through a telephone type set up
Antwon: We were allowed one visit once time a week for approximately thirty minutes depending on your location in the facility

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Todd: yes they had to be there 30 minutes before and had only a certain day they could call and set up for a visit
Antwon: No because they had to call in ahead of time to set up an appointment time then they rushed you to end your visit with your loved ones

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Todd: it was terrible your always glad to see family but just something about having glass separating you from them was a little upsetting and then you only had 30 minutes to visit them so really you dont have much time to talk \to them
Antwon: Just like you see it on tv. you were talking through a glass window with a phone that hardly worked. There was approximately twelve seats lined side by side with partitions that they had assigned for you and your family members. That jail is basically a maximum security prison sad sad!
