Interview with Ed

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Ed: FCC has the intake dorms and three regular housing units, A Wing, B Wing and C Wing. There is also womens dorms and Protective Custody (PC) dorms. The gym is used as a dorm when theres overcrowding.

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Ed: A Wing, B Wing, C Wing, PC, B Dorm and the gym.

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Ed: A Wing was for felony crimes, B Wing was for misdemeanor crimes and C Wing was the workers housing unit for those that worked in the kitchen and laundry. I think I've been in all wings.

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Ed: A Wing was relaxed, somewhat, when I was there. It was the first wing I was assigned to when I began my sentence. I also knew a lot of people, friends and some relatives. Even though it was the felony wing it wasn't to bad. I was transferred to C Wing after I started working in the kitchen but it sucked because it was loud, but I never had any problems.
