JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Jerry: you could only make calls to house phone un less someone puts money on their phones
Pat: yes- when the guard tells you and you have too have all people on file too call and they monitor what you say

JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls?
Jerry: they would spend like 60 dollars a week for a little bit of minutes and house phone charges would be from 30-60
Pat: 3.00 minute you have can make calls when the guard tell you 120.00 week or more

JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Jerry: family member had to put minutes on their phone but phone cards where available
Pat: no- i called collect/didnt need too

JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Jerry: yes they did so you had to watch what you talked about especially your case
Pat: yes- i thought it was wrong
