Medications

Interview with John

JM: Did you always have access to necessary medications?
John: After you fill out a medical request you will go through a series of nurse visits that take a couple days to a week and after you fill out three request in a row then you will be put on a DR. waiting list. Besides that you can purchase pain and cold meds each night at about ten.

JM: How did you get your medications?
John: A nurse comes around like twice a day and gives out meds to individuals that have perscriptions they have either been brought by family or the DR. has perscribed.

JM: What types of punishments were incurred for abuse of drugs? Did you ever witness this?
John: If an inmate was caught trying to save his pills instead of swallow them then he could be put in a single man cell or just watched very hard each med call.
