Visitor Policy

Interview with John

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
John: You could have a visit once a week as long as you had been good and were not on lock down.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
John: It varies depending on the jail. Visits are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday so the first two days are busy and then Sunday is less busy but it can take an hour or two that they may wait to see you.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
John: It is Plexiglass and you are separated from the people on either side of you by a three foot piece of wood. Its loud and hard to hear. You get fifteen or twenty minutes and there are like eight other visits going on so everyone is trying to talk louder than the other. It sucks really.
