Interview with Henry

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Henry: All underwear, socks, and shirts have to be completely white. You can have three sets of each and during the winter months you can have a set of white thermals. It's usually in the best interest on the inmate to have all of this to stay warm.

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Henry: The only two things they issue to you is a black & white striped jumpsuit and a pair of orange sandals. You get two uniform changes a week.

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Henry: No. Since they only issued you the two things there was really nothing in high demand, besides maybe certain sizes of jump suits. Besides that, they'd give you one roll of toilet paper and two bars a soap a week..so usually those two things were the highest thing in demand. You have to keey eyes on your toilet paper at all times or it will most likely come up missing.

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Henry: No. Both men and women shared the same jumpsuits and sandals. I don't think they kept the laundry seperate or anything.
