Interview with Mario and Tanya
JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Mario: an inmate could recive visitors 2 times a week
for 20 min periods.It was on a video screen.
Tanya: Twice a week for 15 minutes.
JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Mario: the inmates familey members could sign up on
line for visitation or call ahead of time i
think it was 48 hour notice before you culd
recive a visit.
Tanya: I don't know I wasn't in the lobby I was in a
cell.
JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Mario: visiting was done 7 days a week in our pods it
was on a video screen.. it lasted 20 min.. and
most of the time it was loud in our pod.. people
talcking,walckikng by the monitor.. being rude.
i found it harder being on a monitor.. not being
able to give a hug to my familey.. was hard.
