Visitor Policy

Interview with Albert, Borata, Keith, Jon, Acer, Taz, Will and James

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Albert: ON THE WEEKENDS FOR A N HOUR.
Borata: na
Keith: 2 visits a week, for 30 minutes each, Thursday through Sunday. 7 AM - 5 PM
Jon: I don't know.
Acer: Didn't let anyone visit me don't like my family to see me like that n the endings are always the worst .u go back to ur bunk n they go home
Taz: N/a
Will: You could receive visitors everyday for 30 minutes as long as the jail was not on lockdown
James: you can receive two visits per week Friday through Tuesday and only one visit per day.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Albert: I HEARD IT WAS SOMETIMES ESPECIALLY ON HOLIDAYS.
Borata: yes, no one knew where I was. and when I first got in. No call went through. Not even to Dennies so I don't understand h ow he knoew where the fucc I was. He has a fuccing cell phone, YO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Keith: 2 - 4 Hours wait.
Jon: N/A
Taz: N/a
Will: They would basically have to wait in line for about thirty minutes to an hour, they also have to have to warrants out for their arrest or be on probation/parole
James: the check in process was done online, the visitor has to wear and only bring certain things to the visit and be present an hour early to check in.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Albert: GOOD BECAUSE YOUR WITH LOVED ONES.
Borata: na
Keith: you are in a room with inch thick glass between you and the visitor. You talk through a telephone handset.
Jon: I don't know.
Taz: Glass between you and visitor you talk on a phone.
Will: It was a very narrow room with multiple windows for each inmate to view their loved one. The only was to talk to the person behind the window was to talk on a phone connected to the phone on the other side of the wall. Not much privacy but visits meant so much
James: the visiting was a small room for approximately 6 inmates, we were separated by a glass window so no touching was allowed. We were able to communicate through a phone that was connected to the glass window and you can speak to the visitors this way. the visits were about 20 minutes long.
