Interview with Tyrone

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Tyrone: Nothing from the outside was allowed...PERIOD. You were stripped of everything on intake and issued standard wear. Anything else you had to purchase from the commissary.

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Tyrone: There were two seperate issues; a jump suit that went by a very loose fit size (small, medium or large) and a two-piece uniform. The two-piece consisted of a pull-over top with short sleeves and an elastic banded long pants. There were orange outfits for inmates awaiting sentencing, and green ones for sentenced inmates. All were typically well-worn and very loose. Shoes consisted of rubber slippers. Socks and underwear were also issued and were.....disgusting!

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Tyrone: No, since everyone there was given the same issue. In high demand were the thermals others would bequeath to inmates as they left the facility.

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Tyrone: No, it was exactly the same.
