Visitor Policy

Interview with nelson and Amy

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
nelson: everyday.
Amy: I guess everyday if you scheduled them and they were approved and the times were available.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
nelson: no.
Amy: about 20 minutes. Then they could visit for half hour but usually they were caught up in the process downstairs checking in and so visits were cut short.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
nelson: private room.
Amy: Shitty small smelly with glass in-between and visible to the other inmates walking by. Not private what so ever. hard metal desk with a chair on both sides and we talked thru a telephone and window. I didn't like having visitors and probably most people don't like going there to see people through the glass.
