Inmates

Interview with Tim

JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Tim: I didn't find it difficult at all because I am just one of those talkative friendly people. There were a lot of people that would walk in the door and make everyone mad. Everyone was always really nice to me.

JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Tim: Knowing when to shut up, knowing what stuff to avoid, and knowing when to make a joke helped a lot.

JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Tim: I lived in a dorm type setting with 20 other guys and you could change dorm rooms whenever you wanted, I just had to make the request. If you were in a cell you could ask to have a certain cellmate and they would do it for you.
