Jail Layout

Interview with Eric

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Eric: In north county jail is only a few different blocks because there are just cells that are full of people from antelope Valley that are going to go to the jail downtown

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Eric: I don't know if There are names or not but I think they might be numbered

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Eric: There's a drunk tank where everybody is just there because they got a DUI or drunk in the public Then there is the case where the people have the real charge and the case pending.

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Eric: The drunk tank which is where they put everybody at first to make sure they aren't drunk is not very nice because it's dirty and there are no beds. When they have you and the other 10 and one of the cells is nicer because you get a bed and just one roommate who you might belong with or they might just sleep.
