Good Behavior

Interview with John

JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
John: No .

JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
John: N/A

JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
John: I suppose the usual . I don't recall seeing anyone being caught for anything gb-destroying , though I saw some people smoking (Tobacco/pot/tea - meaning Lipton/Salada , actual tea not an archaic slang term for pot .) , I supposn that , conceviably , could have done that . I believe that , because SC's jails are seen as so crowded , EVERYONE receiving a CJ sentence gets their time automatically halved and essentially unless you are a total goof-off and get caught at something , your actaul time starts at 1/2 your sentence . Ther's also some arcane thingee called " the dip " hat can take off , I guess , a few days to maybe a month/two?? depending on how long your initial sentence is some ime served/I guess by definition good behavior concept . This never applied to me , as i said , I did , essentially , the 20 days suspended i received in January slightly plus I am a bit unclear - I guess I was not precisely " serving a sentence " in a legal sense ??? Funny , there a whole number of concrete walls and locks and muscular men with short haircuts and cuffs and clubs and Tasers around me , it sure resembled jail time somehow :-) !!!!!!!!!!!
