Interview with Tom, Frank and Ashlee

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Tom: A total of 2 45 minute visits per week.
Frank: 2 times a week for Max tanks and I-Block, 1 for the Pods.
Ashlee: Visiting was twice a week. Tues and Thurs for 1/2 hour each time unless you put in a request for a special visit with longer times.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Tom: No. Sutter is very good and quick. The visitor shows i.d. and thats it they get in.
Frank: Not too bad, just check your I.D. and sign something.
Ashlee: No, all they had to do is have valid ID and if the time slot was available for the time they are visiting. If the time they wanted wasn't available then they are put on the very next one.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Tom: No privacy and behind bulletproof glass and spoken over a phone. The environment is not the best but it is better than a whole lot of places I have been
Frank: A little long room with like 8 chairs and 8 phones and a window. You sit in the chair and dial on the phone your inmate # (free) to call the phone on the other side of the glass and your visitor would pick up.
Ashlee: Noisy. Because everybody is on the phone at one time. So you could hear what the person visiting you is saying plus what all the other inmates are saying to the ones visiting them. The area for visiting is pretty much plain and simple. There is a window glass between inmates and visitors and a chair on each side.
