JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Tom: yes but it is noise and the phones are bad
Odessa: yes as long as they worked
JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls?
Tom: collect
Odessa: well I only called once a week at time with
costed around 6 dollors but when I called daily
it was closer to 50
JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Tom: no
Odessa: from my understandind now they do have calling
cards but all my trips it was global tele link
JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Tom: hell yes
Odessa: yes when they felt the had a reason too
