Visitor Policy

Interview with Darryl, Ralph and Cheryl

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Darryl: I think it was 3 times a week for a half hour each time.
Ralph: 3 times per week
Cheryl: twice a week and they were no contact visits threw glass and phones and you could only have 2 visitors at a time

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Darryl: They just had to show their ID. They had to be there 15 minutes early. They had to call for an appointment the day before.
Ralph: yes
Cheryl: I think it was my mom visited occationaly and they had to check in get a badge get searched go threw a metal detector and had to pre register to visit

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Darryl: It was one big room. They had chairs separated so you could have a little privacy. The visits were contact, nothing dividing inmates from visitors.
Ralph: highly supervised
Cheryl: it was a large white room the inmates wherte on one side there were 5 booths and on the inmates side we had secured stools to sit on on the other sides were pieces of wood seperating each booth and 2 chairs than a desk in the cornor where the gaurd would sit
