Meals

Interview with Louisa

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Louisa: Three.

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Louisa: Horrible. My dog would not even eat it, I will be honest with you. My husband sent money and I ordered off canteen to eat.

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Louisa: I didn't like any of them. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, I did not like them. Breakfast was a hot meal or cereal. Lunch was either "bologna" or "salami" (supposedly).Dinner was a hot meal. On the weekends you got a hot lunch and peanut butter and jelly for dinner.

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Louisa: No, only if you ordered off canteen. If you were diabetic or pregnant you got a snack.
