Meals

Interview with Tim and Sharon

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Tim: three meals per day.
Sharon: You get three meals per day.

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Tim: I dont think it was food at all.
Sharon: The food was not so bad because the inmates cooked it so they tried to make it as good as possible for us because they were eating it also. The breakfast was the most decent meal of the day because it was fruit and cereal and sometimes gravy and busicuits.

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Tim: rice ,because it was filling.
Sharon: Yes my favorite meal was breakfast but my least favorite was dinner because it was always a cold sandwich and an orange.

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Tim: only through canteen.
Sharon: No there were no snacks offered just your three meals a day. Commissary was good but it was expensive something you would get at home for 50 cents would be about a dollar and some change.
