Interview with Cameron

JM: Tell us about the pre-sentencing process:
Cameron: Wasn't much of a pre-sentencing. I went to straight to jail when they arrested me for violation of the probation.

JM: Did you have police stop by your house for questioning? If not please give us details on how you came to be arrested.
Cameron: I was on probation and violated that. It was a case that was in Flagler. They issued a bench warrant for me then came around to my house and that was it.

JM: What was court like? Please give as many details as you recall.
Cameron: I was nervous. Wasn't really sure how much time I was going to get. They brought you over to the jail and would put you in a room with about 12 other guys and when they called your name you'd sit in front of a web cam and the judge would come up on a monitor and that's how they did the sentencing.

JM: What were your original charges? What did you end up being convicted of?
Cameron: Burglary. Started out as 2nd degree felony and dropped it down to the 3rd degree and I had a misdemeanor charge too.
