Interview with Jared, Bree, George, Sherry and Timothy

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Jared: jumpsuit
Bree: as long as everythings white except panties then they do not care. bras cant have the wire or they take them
George: I was allowed all of my undergarments like boxers, socks, and your shirt. The only shoes you could have was velcro strapped shoes.
Sherry: sock and only if they were white, underwear, and a shirt but again only if it was white.
Timothy: You can bring in anything plain white (tank tops, socks, plain white shirts), and underwear. thats it.

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Jared: red jumpsuit
Bree: we wore onesies. it was red for the regular inmates, trustees either wore black and white stripes (could go outside) or the green and white stripes (could not go outside)
George: It was a red jumpsuit that zips up in the front. The inside tag read bob barker. On the back it had lee county jail in bold black letters.
Sherry: there is only one unifourm. you could but additional clothes from commissary. The LCJ uniform is a jumpsuit of orange to red in color. they range form small to xxxl however a small is not always a small depends on how they were cut. Trustees had striped either green and white of black and white. and you were given a pair of slides for shoes a hard plastic thing
Timothy: For the tents we had a different uniform than the stockade, The stockade had orange jumpsuits, the tents had a blue uniform with separate pants and shirt instead of a one piece like a jumpsuit. Also blue slip on shoes instead of flip flops like the stockade.

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Jared: no
Bree: no they dont really assign you anything except the jumpsuit
George: the large size uniforms were in high demand because the mediums were too small.
Sherry: no there is nothing in high demand however I suggest purchasing a thermal as that jail get cold.
Timothy: No, they have plenty of it all. Wouldn't be an issue

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Jared: yes, different color
Bree: no we wore the same outfits as the men did
George: No it was the same red zip up uniform
Sherry: no there is no difference.
Timothy: No women wear the same jumpsuits.
