Good Behavior

Interview with Ryan, Angel, Dale and Peter

JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
Ryan: No they don't do that. If you get 11 months 29 days you do 11/29. Down to the minute and second. They will take you out and make you work, but it doesn't count for anything. If you don't want to work they put you in "the box".
Angel: No
Dale: No. My 15months in County was dead time. I got credited for those 15months but no Gain Time for them. Which is Good Behavior.
Peter: Yes, I was given a couple of weeks off of my sentence.

JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
Ryan: N/A
Angel: None that I know of
Dale: 5 Days a month in County Jail. (If working and Sentenced). 0 if you are not sentenced and not working.
Peter: You can only get 3 day a month off after you are sentenced, and that is only if they move you to the working pod.

JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
Ryan: N/A
Angel: No
Dale: Just follow your general rules. The main thing that'll land you in trouble is fighting. That is 30 days in the Box and if your on Camera the State will bring up charges.
Peter: You have to avoid getting discipline referrals. No fighting, disrespect, etc. and yes I witnessed many people lose their time off for good behavior. If you go to the box, you lose your days.
