Interview with Chandra

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Chandra: There are pods for misdemeanor, felony, solitary confinement, protective custody and trustee for females. The male side is the same setup except they have bigger pods with more beds in there. They have a dorm called K pod for the male trustees... they go to work camps, etc.

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Chandra: We were purple pod, there was maroon, green. When I was in solitary confinement it would say p-seg for purple segregation.

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Chandra: See above.

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Chandra: It all depends on who your correction officer is that day. The officers have their favorite inmates who get preferential treatment.
