Interview with Charlie and Kurt

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Charlie: 6 blocks
Kurt: I can't remember

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Charlie: drug/religious, Crazy people, violent people, people awaiting to go to prison, older people block. Not really sure of the exact names.
Kurt: We had five units back then

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Charlie: I just remember that someone told me that I was in the best unit being the drug one and that I didn't want to be in the "juggle gym" (lots of thug blacks) because I would get beat up
Kurt: Classified by crime levels

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Charlie: I was in the drug unit and most people in there were really trying to better their lives so it was easier than other parts of the jail. I was told that unit 5 (were people would come and go from prison) was best because they had access to drugs in there.
Kurt: We had females guards who treated us fair
