Visitor Policy

Interview with Darrell

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Darrell: Outside of the cops, and my attorney, I didn't receive any visitors. I don't khow if they would have let me see them if they had come.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Darrell: I don't know, but from what I understand there was always a long waiting list to get in. If you weren't on time, you got bumped.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Darrell: For me it was "through the glass" (while at the the jail), or in chains (at the public defenders office.). My "attorney" complained about that once or twice, as I recall, but it was just lip service. I think he was a little intimidated by me, although to this day I don't khow why.
