Interview with Victor
JM: What else would you want a friend or family member to know if they have a loved one going to this jail?
Victor: Make sure within the first week of them being
there you bring them white shirts, socks, and
underwear; even long-johns. After a certain amount
of time you're not allowed to receive any so get
those to them. Also find them a lawyer because the
public defenders are terrible if you are not from
that area.
JM: If somebody knows they will be serving time in this jail what is your advice to them?
Victor: Don't be a dick to the correctional officers
because they can be very cool. Save your toilet
paper. Try to get a cell farthest away from the TV
so you can view it after lock down. Take a shower
in the morning because the water gets too hot
during the day. Have fun and try to get a single cell.
