Meals

Interview with Krystal

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Krystal: we got 3 meals a day.

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Krystal: It was edible but I didn't like it cause it always made me sick to my stomach. I would have to spend my time in a separate cell because the food would keep me sick and instead of a nurse checking on you they just separated you from the other inmates.

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Krystal: no favorites at all the least favorite was the bologna it always tasted like rubber. Also the chicken patties they served were too.

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Krystal: there were snacks offered but only to the pregnant girls. Commissary was ok and it wasn't too expensive. The commissary didn't really offer too many food items though that you could choose from on their list.
