Pre-sentencing

Interview with Mr. Guero

JM: Tell us about the pre-sentencing process:
Mr. Guero: It was a drag I spent most of my time in lockdown they would only let me out of my cell once a day.The waiting sucked not knowing how much time I would actually spend in the pen. I didn't want probation so I could screw up and still go the joint.

JM: Did you have police stop by your house for questioning? If not please give us details on how you came to be arrested.
Mr. Guero: I was driving a friend to the store and he had coke on him he stuck it up under his seat. The police pulled me over for going through an alley way. When I was pulled over they went through my car with no probable cause. \They sais they found the cocaine in my pocket. Punk cops who are they going to believe a ex-con or a pig.

JM: What was court like? Please give as many details as you recall.
Mr. Guero: Court was very frustrating because the cop was lieing his but off. and they were tring to give me the max amount of time they were giving me. I basically talked to the D.A, myself and I told her that I would take 3 years and if not I would take it to trial. They finally took my deal.

JM: What were your original charges? What did you end up being convicted of?
Mr. Guero: Possesion of a controlled substance, Same
