Meals

Interview with Cody and Nicole

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Cody: Three.
Nicole: You got 3 meals per day.

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Cody: On a scale of 1-10, I would probably say a 3 or 4.
Nicole: The food I would definitely rate 0 on a scale 1-10. It was disgusting. It was usually old and stale. Had no flavor and was unhealthy. The food you could order on commissary was alright because you could order name brand snacks such as chips and cookies and things like that.

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Cody: My favorite was the chicken patty.
Nicole: I did not have any favorite or least favorite meals. I never ate. I pretty much starved myself while I was in there.

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Cody: No. You can order snacks from the kiosk.
Nicole: Commissary was pretty expensive. It cost a dollar for a ten cent pack of Top Ramen, and it was not real top ramen, it would be the generic kind. But it was better than eating the gross food they had.
