JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Regina: No, actually, because I was from another city, I
was an outsider, it helped. I made friends with
the people who were outcasts.
JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Regina: Basically I kept to myself. If someone was
trying to start with me I would read the bible
or put my nose in a book.
JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Regina: No. While I was incarcerated I was in 2 cell
rooms. I had no choice as to who I roomed with.
