Interview with Lowell and Ray

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Lowell: i am not sure how many.
Ray: I think there were several different ones.

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Lowell: they were names dorms and were given different letters and numbers
Ray: They had different names Sometimes they were letters of the alphabet.

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Lowell: i think were were seperated by tyeps of crimes that were commited and what you were incarcerated for. if you had violent crimes you were in different dorms than non violent crimes.
Ray: It depends on the time they were doing and there were honor dorms for people that were well behaved so they were in different blocks. its a medium so only inmates that belonged in medium prisons.

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Lowell: the different types of peoples in the dorms. and if you were well behaved, you got to be in better dorms, that had more things to use like a stove and stuff. you got more perks if you were in the honor dorms is what they called. so you also were with people that werent troublemakers.
Ray: the honor dorms had microwaves adn stoves so you really could cook a meal. and you had nicer inmates so you could share food too. you could cook more of what you wanted so if you ddint like the food in the mess hall, you were better off. the other blocks there were constant fights adn inmates ending up in the box.
