Visitor Policy

Interview with Charles and Lynne

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Charles: I think it was 3 times a week. I did not have many visitors as most of my family is in Annapolis. My mother who is in Baltimore, babysits during the day and does not like coming to the jail, so i never ask.
Lynne: It depends on what is going down in the jail usually 3 times a week

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Charles: Yes. theaty was a huge complaint. I used to visit people as well so I was not surprised when people did not come or did not want to come.
Lynne: Yes it was from what I was told and correctional officers do not be in a hurry to check you in or search you as well

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Charles: Do know that I have 50 words for this one. The visiting experience was nothing to brag about. It was very simple and sometimes lenghthy. The process was tiresome for the visitor and also it makes you feel worst once they leave. Its usually alot of people there visiting others.
Lynne: The visiting environment was okay because of course you got to see your loved ones. But correctional officers stare you down no touching no privacy uncomfortable chair the room echos and are always over packed no space not very long time on visits to me more is needed of course so it's okay
