Interview with George

JM: How many different blocks were there?
George: there were 20 different cell blocks

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
George: no they didnt have names but they were numbered one to 5 with smaller blocks inside

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
George: At the time they didnt have seperation between differnt crimes. Everyone was put into a general population and placed together. It was very scary because dangerous people were with non violent criminals

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
George: The nicest part of the different blocks were that i was placed in number one and I fortunately had good people with me. We had pool tables and television to watch. Things bak then were very different than they are now. The worst part was the combined population amongst other inmates
