Meals

Interview with Chuck and Blake

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Chuck: Three.
Blake: We received 3 meals a day

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Chuck: Not very good. It was boring and not nutritious.
Blake: The food at this facility was horrible. The selection of foods they provided seemed to be taken from a third world country menu. Carrots and mayonnaise salad, they had a cubed chicken salad that tasted like the chicken was spoiled and the portions were not enough to feed a grown person.

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Chuck: I didn't like the food at all.
Blake: The cubed chicken salad was the most horrible thing I have ever eaten, didn't taste like chicken, taste like road kill

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Chuck: Occasionally they would give you an apple but not a whole lot.
Blake: No....there were not any snacks offered outside of primary meals, unless you were diabetic. The commissary had a good variety of products, there was a little bit of price markup but not an outrageous amount.
