Interview with Travis
JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
Travis: Yes, but you don't earn credit based on good behavior. Jail credits
are earned by participating in education, AA meetings, or having a
job such as cleaning the Pod.
JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
Travis: 7.5 days/month. You can get 2.5 for education, 2.5 for AA/NA
meetings, and 2.5 for having a job. If you can't have a job for some
reason such as there not being one available, then you don't receive
any good time credit.
JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
Travis: In order to get time off you not only had to avoid getting into
trouble by fighting, etc., you also had to participate in certain
programs, have a job, and go to education.
