Interview with Jonathan and Mike

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Jonathan: The jail provides the clothing. You're given 3 t- shirts, 3 pairs of underwear, 5 pairs of socks. Laundry is done 2 or 3 times a week..
Mike: None in this jail except certain shoes, other jails let you bring in under ware or socks or whites but not here.

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Jonathan: When you are a sentenced inmate in the regular units, you wear green uniforms. A green pair of sand knit pants with an elastic waist. The top is matching green v neck sand knit heavy, with a breast pocket. Trian version.al inmates wear a bright orange version, Alternative center wears a t
Mike: Issued several new white t-shirts under ware and socks, and shoes as well as uniform. Uniforms where two piece orange or green depending on if you were sentenced. Two tops two pants and one pair of shorts if you get lucky a sweater.

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Jonathan: No. All the clothing is identical, and it will be given to you in a box with some toiletries when you arrive.
Mike: High demand sweaters yes, as well as t-shirts in my experience.

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Jonathan: There were no women in Dedham
Mike: I imagine if it was a co-ed jail Norfolk was not.
