Sentencing

Interview with Jonathan and Mike

JM: How long was your sentencing for?
Jonathan: I was given 5 months jail time, as I was serving time in Plymouth, Norfolk began running the time concurrent. Meaning I would have a 2 month overlap, to be served in Norfolk County.
Mike: Sentence was 2 years with 6 months to serve remainder suspended with probation (I am still on probation).

JM: Did you spend time in a holding cell after your sentencing? If so, what was that like? If you didn't where did they they take you instead?
Jonathan: Yes. i went back to the holding cell after I was sentenced. By then...3:00pm, the cell is thinning out. Different jails are coming to pick up their inmates, some are released, though not many. It's rough. I was expecting them to run my sentence retro-concurrent, meaning the time I'd done in Plymouth would count toward the 5 months, and that I'd go home when I was done in Plymouth. Now I would be going from Plymouth to the Dedham jail.
Mike: Yes, I spent time in several holding cells while I was processed and changed over to a sentenced inmate. Most were small cells with 3 or more people waiting as I was to be processed and reassigned to a sentenced unit, I was first sent to 2B with 4 man cells.
