Interview with Grant, Will, Deshawn and Wes

JM: Did you always have access to necessary medications?
Grant: usually the med cart came to the unit
Will: Yes
Deshawn: No not really they would have the nurse come 3 times a day to the units.
Wes: yes

JM: How did you get your medications?
Grant: either the cart came to the unit or you were sent to the infirmary
Will: I only needed it twice so asked a guard when he was free and he brought them over to me
Deshawn: They would hand it to you in front of a correctional officer and you would have to swallow it in front of them. It was supervised.

JM: What types of punishments were incurred for abuse of drugs? Did you ever witness this?
Grant: sent to the hold, loss of good time and possibly new charges
Will: N/A
Deshawn: I did witness it some people would put there meds under there tongue and would sell them for commissary. It was a hustle.
