Sentencing

Interview with John, Scott, Aaron, Bruce, Sammy and Janice

JM: How long was your sentencing for?
John: I was sentenced to a little over two years
Scott: MY SENTENCE WAS FOUR YEARS
Aaron: I was sentenced to the Worcester house of corrections for only 28 days.
Bruce: My sentencing was 18 months but I got it to a year
Sammy: My sentence was one year
Janice: My sentencing was for 120 days but they did not give me credit for the time I had already been there prior to the sentencing so it ended up being about 6 months. I was also given 1 year probation with a 9 month suspended sentence when I was released.

JM: Did you spend time in a holding cell after your sentencing? If so, what was that like? If you didn't where did they they take you instead?
John: After my sentencing i was brought back to court ,sat through all that ,and then i had to wait for my lawyer to get my deal and since i had the time already in they released me.
Scott: NO I DID NOT SPEND TIME IN A HOLDING CELL I WAS RELEASED FROM THE JAIL AFTER MY TIME WAS COMPLETED. THEY LET ME WALK OUR THE FRONT DOOR THIS TIME.
Aaron: they put me in a holding cell that was really small it felt to cramped in there. I couldn't even move around in there. it was so cramped I had an anxiety attack just from being in there.
Bruce: After my sentencing no I did not spend any time in a holding cell. What they did was made me sign my release papers, they gave me my belongings and,let me go home.
Sammy: After my release from the jail I did not spend time in a holding cell. They let me go from the jail. It was a weird feeling leaving out the, front door of the jail. But I felt relief.
Janice: Yes I spent another 4 hours in a cell holding my belly shaking and crying. I had no idea whether I would be released in time for the baby or not and I did not want to lose him
