Inmates

Interview with Lillie

JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Lillie: I never found it difficult to get along with any of the inmates at the jail while I was there. I got along with all of them. I had problems with some of the officers at the jail.

JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Lillie: All of the inmates got along pretty good with each other.I never had to do anything different to avoid fights, because I never seen any inmates getting into arguments, or fights. We all respected each other. The officers had absolutely no respect for us and all of the inmates had problems with the officers

JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Lillie: I was not able to choose my roommate. I didn't have any choices while I was in jail. I was moved to trustee dorm, so I got new roommates a lot.
