Inmates

Interview with Rob

JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Rob: I am a great people person so I had no problems. Some inmates make it a point to try and mess with you to get under your skin or to get what you have/steal.

JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Rob: To avoid confrontation I didn't talk to all that many people. The people I did talk to sort of gave me the lowdown on who starts stuff and who to avoid. Otherwise we would somewhat stick together and watch eachothers stuff using the buddy system. If someone had to use the restroom, someone would watch their stuff.

JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Rob: No, I was moved around so much when I was in jail. From holding tank to holding tank, then when nightime came around they dressed us out and took us anywhere there was an open bunk.
