Visitor Policy

Interview with Danny

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Danny: You can have one visitor per week for a 40 minute visit. The visits are done through a monitor and you dont actually get to sit with your visitor(s) though.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Danny: I never had anyone come to visit me during my short stay, so I do not know the answer to this question. I didnt want my family to see me in my orange jumpsuit.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Danny: Again, all I know is from what I observed from the other inmates who had visits during my stay. There are "stations" where video-monitors are set up on each floor. When a visitor arrives, they are seated in the visitors lobby on the main floor of the jail, and the visit is conducted much like a "Skype" call - through a video monitor. I found it to be very impersonal!
