Getting along with other inmates
Time off for good behavior
Food and Commissary
JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
: Actually i got along very well with other inmates, not only the two different cell mates I had but also other inmates in the unit and inmates that were going to court with me
Jade: Yes I did, there are people from all sorts of walks of life and having commited a wide range of crimes. Some had mental illeness and others were addicts , while some were just angry.
JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
: I did not end up getting into any problems but the biggest thing I feel like is respect. Minding your own business and giving respect is huge. I got along with inmates from other races so staying within my race was not really needed. I felt like being nosey would be an issue and could have caused probelms
Jade: Stayed to my self and did not get involded with clicks. Did not share my food or my story. I was corgial, but stayed around mainly the trustes, becouse they weere notthe trouble makers. It was a hard time to stay civil when every one is angry, hut\rting or scared.
JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
: No you were not allowed to choose who you wanted as your cell mate. however if you felt a fight was going to arrise you could bring it to the guard attention. I got a new cell mate every day.
Jade: tHE CELLS MATES CHANGE BASED UPON WHO GETS RELEASED OR GOES TO SEGRAGATION. EVERYONE IS GIVEN A CELL MATE BASED UPON THE GUARDS. vERY SELDON CAN YOU CHOOSE, THATS ONLY IF YOU HAVE A COOL GUARD.
