Jail Layout

Interview with Jessica, Joe Smith, Rod, Ben and Jade

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Jessica: THE AREA I WAS IN ONLY HAD 2 BLOCKS.
Joe Smith: I'm not quite sure, I believe that it is for security purposes that they don't reveal the full layout of the jail.
Rod: na
Ben: I am not sure how many different block there were
Jade: it the womans we had two blocks. I do not know how many mens.

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Jessica: I DO NOT BELIEVE THEY HAD NAMES. IF THEY DID I DID NOT ASK.
Joe Smith: Lettered pods. (a-Pod, D-pod, etc.)
Ben: I only know what I was held in and that was intake for felony charges which was 23 hour lock down
Jade: D block was the block I was in. Becouse of tight security it is hard to know what else is in the building.

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Jessica: I WAS IN A DIFFERENT BLOCK SO I COULD BE MONITORED, BUT I COULD SEE THE OTHER INMATES IN THE OTHER BLOCK.
Joe Smith: I believe that the only ones that were separated into specific blocks were the mentally ill inmates.
Rod: dnt remember
Ben: the different blocks are going to be based on two different things. first off it depends on the charges you have received and also how long you are going to be there for.
Jade: Well the men of cpourse have there own blocks. WhichI lknow nothing about, AND THE WOMEN HAVE D- BLOCK. uPPER AND LOWER TIER. tHIS WAS THE ONLY BLOCK i WAS FAMILIAR WITH.

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Jessica: THE PART I WAS IN WAS VERY QUIET AND CLEAN. THE OTHER PART SEEMED VERY LOUD ALL THE TIME.
Joe Smith: The only nice thing were the vending machines in each pod, other than that they were pretty gloomy and depressing places.
Rod: if block one was out for free time and were too loud block 2 would be stuck in thier rooms
Ben: I only had the expeirence of being in one block and it was hell. it was twenty three hour lock down which gave you twenty minutes three times a day to get out of your cell. there was nothing to do no paper to write on no tv to watch.
Jade: tHE NICEST IS BEING UP STAIRS BECOUSE YOU CAN SEE EVERY THING. tHERE ARE LESS PEOPLE WALKING AROUND so you get more privacy. on the lower tier there is alot of noice and people are always loud. embarrassing to use the rest room and others can see. so i liked the top.
