Visitor Policy

Interview with Joe and Matt

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Joe: Four days a week unless it was an attorney visit. I rarely got visits because my family didn't want to go through the process.
Matt: I think you could get visitors at least four times a week for one hour at a time

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Joe: It was a very lengthy process. I rarely got visits because it was too much of a hassle for my family to go through the process.
Matt: I think there was maybe a twenty minute waiting period depending on what day you went and how buisy the guards were all in all not bad

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Joe: The visits took place behind glass. There was no contact visits and time was limited. It was loud and hard to hear your visitor. The guards tried to maintain the volume, but generally did not interrupt the visit unless it was to tell you that it was time to go.
Matt: not bad just two people at a time had inmates on both sides so not much privacy but was far enough away from other inmates so all of noise was not affecting visitation but some of the phones did not work and there was only three phones and only two work
