Good Behavior

Interview with Tim, Adrian, Maria, Ashley, Lindsay, Victor, Deborah and Katherine

JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
Tim: No. I got out because they couldn't keep me any longer. Also, expedited slightly due to Judge Lee (No. Las Vegas).
Adrian: no
Maria: That wasn't applicable to my case since I was being held for a sentencing hearing. If anything, I was kept longer than was necessary not being released until 4 am the day after seeing the judge.
Ashley: NO I HAD A SET RELEASE DATE BUT YOUR GOOD TIME IS INCLUDED IN THAT DATE.I WAS SUPPOSE TO DO A YEAR BUT THEY GAVE ME 9 MONTHS THAT INCLUDED MY GOOD TIME
Lindsay: Unfortunately, no. I was in there for 30 days flat, so I didn't have that option. However, I was never punished for my behavior.
Victor: No such thing exists where I was locked up. I asked around when I was in population and of Correction Officers and I was told the only time you get released early is if you are someone important((politician, celebrity, rich)(IE: Floyd Mayweather(famous boxer) was released 3 months early for good behavior after being convicted of Domestic Violence and doing time at the same facility where I was locked up).)
Deborah: As I said I was asked to be a worker so I got time off my sentence. 15 days early release.
Katherine: NO I DID NOT LET OFF EARLY BECAUSE OF GOOD TIME.

JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
Adrian: dont really know
Maria: I have no information to share in this area.
Ashley: I AM NOT SURE BUT I GUESS 3 MONTHS A YEAR
Lindsay: From what I have been told, if you are sentenced for 30 days, then you are only there for 20. Other than that, I am not sure.
Victor: Once again, I am not rich or famous so the most time I could have received off was none.
Deborah: I got off 15 days for working. But every other women also had time taken off for good behavior.
Katherine: I AM NOT SURE HOW MUCH TIME.

JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
Adrian: bad behavior I would asume
Maria: I don't have any reliable information in this area but imagine it's the same as when you don't make your bed and you're supposed to, the CO can tell you that you don't get to come out of your cell on breaks. You lose privileges.
Ashley: JUST LISTEN TO THE C.O.DONT DO NOTHING YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO DO.LIKE HAVE CONTRIBAN.DONT FIGHT WITH OTHERS,DONT BE MESSY,HAVE A GOOD ATTITUDE AND YOU SHOULD BE OKAY
Lindsay: Just follow the rules, do EVERYTHING you are told by the C.O. Don't ever get in fights or break more laws while incarcerated. Like I said, it's better to do your own thing and mind your own business.
Victor: You need to avoid getting into fights or affiliating yourself with a gang to avoid getting more time. The actions I needed to avoid to get time off were: being poor, not being famous, not being a politician, not having friends in high places. I never witnessed anyone losing time off for good behavior; the only one I witnessed getting time off for good behavior was Floyd Mayweather.
Deborah: Any type of altercations, sharing food. Abusing telephone privileges, disrespecting staff, not making your bed, any type of contraband and also getting to close to another inmate. Cause God forbid you get a hug.
Katherine: WELL I GUESS IN ORDER TO GET GOOD TIME YOU HAVE TO BE GOOD DO NOT GET IN TROUBLE. YES I DID WITNESS SOMEONE FIGHTING AND
