Meals

Interview with Ricky and Frank

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Ricky: we had three meals a day
Frank: Three meals per day.

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Ricky: they food was not that bad but the portion was little and we would have to beg for extras from other inmates but if u had a job with comminsary u were able to eat more or trade food but the food was not that bad compared to other places
Frank: 1 out of 5 stars a 1 the food has no taste like any seasonings it was slop small portions and sometimes i would find a hair in my food.

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Ricky: the chicken was the only good thing becatyse they gave u a good portion and it was like sunday dinner
Frank: I honestly disliked them all.

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Ricky: the food on commissary was to expenisive and some times they would not hand in our forms and skip us just because they did like gay people i think the food should be cheaper or deal with a different company
Frank: There is commissary once a week but i did not have any money on my books to be able to buy anything from commissary. It's expensive a pack of ramen noodles is like $2.
